AttoSense, a Lab-One portfolio company, reports its first sale of cellular
sensors for monitoring the Orange France mobile network
AttoSense CEO estimates the deal can reach up to €2M by the end of the year
(June 2008)
Nine months after AttoSense entered the Lab-One incubator in Tel Aviv, the
company has completed its first major sale to Orange France, the leading Tier 1
cellular phone operator in the country.
Orange France purchased an initial quantity of sensor units to distribute to
the various operation divisions. Upon installation and implementation of these units,
the operational divisions plan to issue requirements for a larger quantity of sensors.
Erez Mutzafi, founder and general manager of AttoSense, said,
"The deal with Orange France, follows the deal we recently finalized with Cellcom
Israel (a GSM cellular operator), reflects AttoSense's potential for the global market.
The global market for the company's products is a vast and growing quickly.
During this year, we expect to close two additional deals with large cellular
operators on the same scale as the deals finalized to date."
The AttoSense system permits monitoring wireless networks in real time and
handling problems as they arise. The system assures revenues by prevents loss
of income for the wireless/cellular operators and dramatically improves the
quality of service (QoS). One of the advantages of the system is the ability
of the operator to monitor a business or customer site at the local level, diagnose
the problem, and to provide fast and cost effective solution. This level of service
leads to customer satisfaction, whether the product is used within the building or
outside, for the purpose of phone calls, data transmission, or any other cellular
application.
AttoSense has chalked up significant achievements in a short time, due to the
unique technology and the superior technical team. In addition, the company is in
an advanced stage of negotiations towards collaboration with leading telecom equipment
suppliers.
Uri Weinheber, Lab-One's CEO, said, "Our investment in AttoSense is proving itself
with the two recent deals with Cellcom Israel and Orange France. We believe in the
company's potential and its ability to break into global markets."
